                                                                                        FLY FISHING

YELCHO LAKE IS INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN FOR THE UNIQUE QUALITY OF ITS FISHING AND MOST NOTABLY ITS FLY FISHING.  LOCAL CATCH INCLUDES RAINBOW TROUT, BROWN TROUT, BROOK TROUT, AND CHINOOK SALMON DURING SPAWNING SEASON.  DURING FISHING EXCURSIONS TRAVELLERS CAN PRACTISE AND MASTER VARIOUS FISHING TECHNIQUES WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF WORLDCLASS FISHING GUIDES, AND/OR USE SINKING AND FLOATING LINES AS DESIRED.

WITH RESPECT TO THE EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR FISHING DURING A DAY, IDEALLY IT IS RECOMMENDED TO USE A NUMBER 5 OR 6 ROD WITH A FLOATING LINE, AND A NUMBER 6 OR 7 ROD WITH A SINKING LINE.  OF COURSE, EACH FISHERMAN WILL CHOOSE ACCORDING TO HIS PREFERENCE AND EXPERIENCE, BUT THE KIND GUIDES WILL BE ATTENTIVE AND ADVISE FISHING TOURS ACCORDING TO DAILY FISHING CONDITIONS.

FLY FISHING IS AN ART THAT ANYONE CAN ENJOY.  WHETHER A NOVICE OR A MASTER, THE MASTER FISHERMAN WILL ASSIST YOU.  PLEASE REMEMBER AND RESPECT OUR LOCAL CATCH-AND-RELEASE POLICY FOR SPORT FISHING TO ENSURE THAT FUTURE GENERATIONS MAY ALSO ENJOY THIS SAME MAGNIFICENT WILDLIFE EXPERIENCE.

FISHING BY FLY TROLLING IS ALSO VERY EFFECTIVE FOR SPORT FISHING AND AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

THE FISHING SEASON BEGINS ON NOVEMBER 1 UNTIL MAY 6
